By using Subtitle Convert ("the site"), you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance
Use of the site indicates acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. Service description
Subtitle Convert provides free, browser-based subtitle utilities. All processing happens in the user's browser. No subtitle file content is transmitted to or stored on any server operated by us.
3. Permitted use
You may use the site and its tools for any lawful purpose, including personal, educational and commercial subtitle work. You may not:
- Attempt to disrupt or overload the site or its hosting.
- Use automated tools to scrape or hammer the site.
- Reverse-engineer the site with the intent to create a competing service.
- Use the site for any purpose that violates applicable law.
- Represent the site as your own.
- Remove attribution or branding if you redistribute site code.
4. Output rights
You retain all rights to subtitle files you process using the tools. We claim no ownership over your input or output content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the subtitle files you use.
5. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that any tool will produce a valid output for your specific subtitle file. Always validate the output before using it in a production context.
6. Limitation of liability
We are not liable for any damage resulting from the use of the site or its tools, including but not limited to loss of data, corrupted files or subtitle errors introduced during processing.
7. Third-party services
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It may display advertising in the future. Your use of the site is subject to Cloudflare's own terms where applicable.
8. Intellectual property
The site's code and design are original work. The subtitle formats (SRT, WebVTT, etc.) are open standards and not owned by any single party.
9. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
