What gets cleaned
- Renumber cues — every cue's numeric ID is rewritten to 1..N.
- Remove empty cues — cues with no visible dialogue are deleted.
- Trim trailing whitespace — removes trailing spaces and tabs from each line.
- Normalize line endings — Windows CRLF and old Mac CR become Unix LF.
When to use it
- Preparing a subtitle file for a strict player or platform.
- Fixing a file that produced errors after merging or splitting.
- Final polish before delivery.
