Subtitle Splitter
Split one SRT subtitle file into multiple equal parts. Each part downloads as a separate .srt file with cues renumbered from 1.
Local processing only. The file is split on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Input SRT
How it works
- Load or paste the SRT file you want to split.
- Enter the number of parts you need (2–100).
- Click Split file.
- Each part is offered as a separate download with cues renumbered from 1.
What the splitter does
- Cues are divided into equal-sized chunks (up to one cue difference between parts).
- Each output part is renumbered from 1 within that part.
- Timings are preserved exactly — no shift or clamp is applied.
- Filenames follow the pattern
part-1.srt,part-2.srtetc.
When to use it
- Splitting a full film subtitle into episode-length chunks for a series edit.
- Distributing a long subtitle file to multiple translators.
- Testing a subtitle workflow with shorter segments.
Limitations
- Splits by cue count, not by time or chapter markers.
- You choose how many parts, not the split point.
